MenuWelcome to the
Steakville Restaurant
Our restaurant has a frequently changing menu revolving around the freshest, seasonal ingredients and the best of British produce. Dishes range from house-glazed ham and hand rolled pasta to chilli beans on toast and ice cream sandwiches and not forgetting the ever popular Champagne afternoon teas. Our discerning guests will be tempted back time and again to sample our selection of small bar dishes, including truffled mascarpone and ham melts, pulled pork sliders with chipotle and parsley and cured sea trout with beet and horseradish.
Steakville, located in London, first opened in 1947, under Mario Gallati, former Maître d’ of The Ivy. However, it was on its relaunch in 1981 that it became the world-famous restaurant we know and love. It was then that it became the very model of urban elegance, with its black and white décor, John Swannell photographs and long dining bar. Le Caprice’s menu features modern British dishes prepared with carefully sourced seasonal game, meat, fish and vegetables accompanied by the most sumptuous desserts. In no time, it became a social institution with a devoted international clientele who enjoy its unsurpassed service and lively atmosphere, and the expert marshalling of its famed Director, Jesus Adorno. In September 2011, the restaurant received a design refresh by Martin Brudnizki with touches including black oak panels and a new marble floor, backlit ivory onyx bar and larger reception area. Diners can now watch the world of St James’s go by all day amid royal blue awnings and topiary planters on the terrace. As Le Caprice celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2016, still under the masterful stewardship of Jesus Adorno and in as rude health as ever, it seems this is one institution that may never fade away.

Members might venture up the lacquered stairway to their very own restaurant, ensconced at the far end of the Club. Here in the calm of green velvets, distinctive marble and still more floristry, you will be doted upon, being served Jeremy’s menu and all manner of classic cocktails and meritorious wines. All proceedings are watched over by those eminent and notorious characters drawn in John Broadley’s magnum opus, The Soho Tapestry.
We recently had some business customers visiting us. Since we work in Arcadia of California, our boss took us to a French fusion restaurant in a nearby shopping center. Among the crowded shops, the outside look of Sesame Grill did not stand out as superb. But, as soon as we entered into the restaurant, some colorful decorations on the ceiling...
